THE JAZZ IN M.E.E.  Magazine Launch and CD Release for Elan Trotman’s Tropicality was a huge success.http://thejazzinmee.com/tickets/ We would like to thank everyone that attended and supported this event.

Thanks Melvin Lampkins and Carolyn Beverly for showing love all the way from San Antonio… Thanks Jeffrey Kelley for your support M.E.E. We always have a blast when we get together and this was know different…..

This was a groovy night of celebration, Jazz music with a captivating ambiance. This experience included 3 of the most dynamic performers on the scene. Elan Trotman, Seven and Wendy Taylor. They captured and demanded our attention and delivered an exceptional magazine launch musical gift to M.E.E. and our guests. It was a night of Jazzy surprises as Elan blasted us with his chart topping tune Masterblaster Jammin and teased us with tracks from Topicality. He brought the crowd to their feet with his cover of a medley of Earth Wind & Fire tunes. Seven showed his versatility with his story telling , his Latest and Greatest serenade to me with and landed the final musical knockout with delighting the crowd with his heartfelt version of Teddy Pendergrass Love T.K.O. Wendy was charming as she entertained the crowd with Etta James At Last and showcased her BIG vocals with her version of Love You I Do by Jennifer Hudson. Guy Micheal’s was an amazing host as he came dressed for the part in his Tropical attire! He kept the crowed informed, humored and engaged! This event would not at all be possible if it was not for the HOT, DYNAMIC, AND TALENTED BAND!!! They did not miss a beat and killed all night long….. We were extremely impressed and entertained by- Jorvan (JB) Butler on keys, Will Curtis on Bass, Don Lott on Guitar, and Larry Grant on Drums. Awesome job!!!! We also had a few special guests…. The legendary Bobby Lyle, Bass player Earnest Prince and Saxophonist Stephen Richard stopped in.

There were 3 photographers covering this event: April Hall, Melvin Lampkin and Antonio Nichols.
