BWIJ & ARTS AWARDS

You are cordially invited to attend the

BLACK WOMEN IN JAZZ & ARTS AWARDS

This new movement in the Atlanta area is advancing and shining a light on black women in jazz and the arts. Sha Battle, the founder of the Black Women In Jazz & Arts Awards has established an organization that is creating a greater awareness of the many vital contributions that African American female artists have made in the past, present and to the future of jazz. They celebrate the awesome work of known artists, spotlight the up-and-coming artists, and honor the sophisticated ladies who present such phenomenal work but who may have gotten lost in the mélange. Black Women In Jazz Day is March 1, 2015,  and is celebrated by this organization with a weekend of empowerment events and an annual black tie awards gala that features a night of glamour and elegance, showcasing the immense talent black women have contributed to jazz and the arts.

The National Black Women In Jazz & the Arts Day Inaugural weekend celebration will be held in Atlanta and festivities will begins Friday, Feb 27- Sunday, March 1, 2015. All scheduled events will be held at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Buckhead 3300 Peachtree Road, N.E. Atlanta, Ga 30305.
